The Crumbs is a short comic that aims to be an introduction to explore themes of addiction, capitalism, and survival through a surreal insect world.
Set in The Heap—a rotting compost pile behind a fast food restaurant—the comic follows bug-like characters trapped in a toxic sugar economy. Using minimal dialogue and visuals, the story opens a conversation around cycles of consumption, labor, and exploitation in an imaginative and symbolic setting.
